Police Seize Meth After Traffic Stop

SCRANTON — A Nicholson man faces drug charges after city police found meth in his vehicle after a Thursday night traffic stop. Officers arrested Jeffrey Deluca, 48, 136 Lenape Lane, at about 6:20 p.m. on Thursday after pulling him over on the 1900 block of Lafayette Street. Police discovered 12.6 grams of meth and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle, such as a digital scale and a pipe, according to court documents. The meth had a street value of about $1,260, police said. Deluca is held in Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 2. — CLAYTON OVER
