NAPLES, Italy (AP) _ Dozens of Napoli fans hurled stones and bottles at riot police on Sunday, angered by their team’s play at home in an Italian League game.

Police responded by firing tear gas outside San Paolo Stadium. Police said 20 people were taken into custody and 10 police officers were injured.

The violence broke out when groups left the stadium before and after the end of the game, which Bologna won 5-1.

Elsewhere, AS Roma took the undisputed lead with a 3-1 victory at home against last-place Vicenza. AS Roma received goals from Francesco Totti, Vincenzo Montella and Gabriel Batistuta and has now won all three of its games.

The Rome team has nine points, followed by Juventus, Udinese, and Atalanta, all with seven.

Lazio, the defending champion, lost 2-0 at Verona for its first defeat of the season following a win and a tie.

In other games Sunday, Atalanta downed Bari 2-0; Brescia and Fiorentina tied 1-1; Lecce won 1-0 at Reggina; and Perugia upset Parma 3-1.

On Saturday, Juventus rallied to a 2-2 tie against AC Milan, and Udinese beat Internazionale 3-0. Inter, with new coach Marco Tardelli, has lost two of three games.
