Former Komets 2nd for Coach of the Year

April 9, 2019

The Cincinnati Cyclones’ Matt Thomas was, unsurprisingly, named Coach of the Year in the ECHL. Tulsa’s Rob Murray, a former Komets player, was second. Florida’s Brad Ralph was third.

A note on the Komets’ playoff roster: Matthew Weis, who had two goals and seven points in six games, is on it. He’s currently with Chicago of the American Hockey League. He’s got three goals and 10 points in 57 AHL games.

Phelix Martineau is with Laval of the AHL.

However, Chicago is postseason bound. Laval is not.
