Broadway barriers being removed
After more than a year, all four lanes of South Broadway Avenue will be open between Center and Second streets starting Saturday.
Kraus-Anderson Construction will remove the barriers and barricades that have been used to restrict lanes since the fall of 2017, according to Rochester Public Works.
Work, which is slated to start Friday evening and continue into the early hours Saturday, could result in minor traffic delays.
The street is being reclaimed as the nearby Hilton hotel project is within months of its planned opening, which is slated for April.
As work on the hotel and neighboring parking ramp continue, traffic restrictions surrounding the projects on East Center Street, First Street Southeast and First Avenue Southeast will remain in place.
