Fordham 24, Harvard 21

BOSTON (AP) _ Fordham spotted Harvard three touchdowns, then roared back on the passing of Joe Moorhead and Bob Hagen’s 22-yard field goal with three seconds left Saturday for a 24-21 victory, handing the Crimson their eighth loss in the last nine home games.

Moorhead hit on 28 of 49 passes for 367 yards and two touchdowns as Fordham (2-3) rallied after Harvard (1-2) bolted to a 21-0 lead in the first 21 minutes.

With 1:06 left, Moorhead capped his performance by connecting on four passes for 76 yards to the Harvard 4, setting up the game-winning field goal by Hagen.

Fordham pulled into a 21-21 tie with just under 10 minutes left as Moorhead completed four passes for 49 yards in a 68-yard drive. He ended the advance by rolling to his left and passing 4 yards to Jon Nelson in the end zone.

Harvard struck for two touchdowns in 31 seconds late in the first period.

Vin Ferrara hit Troy Jones on a 29-yard pass for the first touchdown. The Crimson then recovered a fumble at the Fordham 12 and on the next play, Jay Snowden passed to Adam Golla in the end zone.

Jeff Compas stopped a Fordham threat with a pass interception early in the second period and the Crimson went 90 yards for a touchdown, Eion Hu running the final 6 yards.

Fordham rebounded with Moorhead connecting with Chris Davis on an 18-yard scoring pass play before time ran out on the Rams in the half just 2 yards away from another score.

Fordham took the opening kickoff of the second half and went 77 yards in 11 plays for its second touchdown. Moorhead completed six passes for 50 yards before Won Kyu Rim plunged a yard for the score.
