Lawyers Honor Unabomber’s Brother
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) _ David Kaczynski, the brother of Unabomber Theodore Kaczynski, received the highest honor for non-lawyers Saturday from the New York State Bar Association.
David Kaczynski shared the Justice Award with his wife, Linda Patrik, who first suspected her brother-in-law in the series attacks that killed three and injured 22 over a span of nearly two decades.
``It’s in the name of justice, so we’re particularly pleased and grateful,″ David Kaczynski said Friday.
David Kaczynski, who works with troubled teens in Albany, used the $1 million federal reward he received for turning his brother in three years ago to set up a fund for victims of crimes committed by paranoid schizophrenics.
Theodore Kaczynski is now serving a life sentence without parole and has vowed never to speak with his younger brother.
