Police look for missing Mount Vernon man

November 22, 2018

Mount Vernon police are looking for a 63-year-old man who has been missing since Friday.

Though Douglas Warren Fister experiences dementia and schizophrenia, police say it’s uncertain if either has contributed to his absence.

According to a news release from the Mount Vernon Police Department, the 5-foot-11, 200-pound Fister often goes for walks to local stores but doesn’t stay away from home long.

Police do not know what he was wearing when he was last seen, and Fister has no vehicle or family in the area, according to the release.

Anyone with information about Fister is asked to call the Mount Vernon Police Department at 360-336-6271 or the 24-hour dispatch line at 360-428-3211.
