Lorain woman struck, killed by vehicle in Sheffield Township

SHEFFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday night while trying to cross a highway, according to the State Highway Patrol.

Roslyn Arroyo, 49, of Lorain, was pronounced dead at University Hospital of Elyria.

A news release from the patrol says Arroyo was walking east along Ohio 254 and tried to cross Ohio 57 when she was hit by an unknown white vehicle traveling north.

The vehicle did not stop and continued north, troopers say.
