Fayetteville police are searching for a man who is believed to have information about the death of a woman found along Murchison Road earlier this month.

At about 10:45 p.m. on Sept. 4, Fayetteville police responded to the 5000 block of Murchison Road near Brenda Drive after someone called 911 and reported that a woman was unresponsive in the roadway.

Police located Martha K. Hunt, 44, of the 1500 block of Blan Street, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation determined Hunt had been the victim of a hit-and-run crash.
