LONDON (AP) _ Even though the flu sidelined Luciano Pavarotti, the show will go on.

The tenor was to have sung Verdi's ``Requiem'' at Birmingham's Symphony Hall on Monday and again with the Philharmonia at London's Royal Festival Hall on Wednesday.

Tenor Roberto Alagna performed Monday and was scheduled to sing again Wednesday.

``The orchestra is naturally disappointed that Luciano Pavarotti is not able to undertake this performance, but is thrilled at the opportunity to work with Roberto Alagna,'' Philharmonia managing director David Whelton said Monday.
