Mom doesn’t blame stepdaughter after infant’s death in NYC
NEW YORK (AP) — A Delaware mother is grieving after the death of her 4-month-old son, who was found cold and unresponsive at a New York City hotel.
Investigators were still trying to determine what caused the death of Dominic Green last Saturday.
His mother, Dominique Green, told reporters the boy was being cared for by her stepdaughter and her stepdaughter’s fiancée.
They were supposed to take the baby back to Wilmington after a trip to Baltimore, but wound up going to New York.
Police say a hotel worker noticed Dominic wasn’t moving and called 911.
Police say the women were incoherent and drugs were found. They were arrested, but later released.
Dominique Green says she doesn’t blame her stepdaughter for what happened.
A spokesman for the Manhattan district attorney declined to comment.
