Ralph Kemp III, 34, Oden Street, Confluence, has been charged with simple assault, marijuana possession and five summary offenses. According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 3:45 p.m. Nov. 30 police responded to a domestic assault complaint at a Listonburg Road home in Addison Township. Kemp’s mother told police that she found four marijuana plants in her basement that she suspected belonged to her son. When the woman attempted to destroy the plants, Kemp spit in her face, struck a half brother and fled on foot, according to the affidavit. Police later found Kemp at his Oden Street residence. He was arraigned Nov. 30 before on-call District Judge Susan Mankamyer, of Boswell, and is free on a nonmonetary bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. Dec. 20 before District Judge Sandra Stevanus in New Centerville.
Driving under the influence
Anthony Dibuono, 44, Rosemary Lane, Johnstown, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and six summary offenses. According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 5:28 p.m. Sept. 1 Dibuono crashed a truck into several mailboxes, traffic signs and a tree along Huckleberry Highway in Stonycreek Township. Dibuono had a blood alcohol content of 0.36 percent, according to the affidavit. He waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday. A formal arraignment in Somerset County court is scheduled for 9 a.m. Jan. 28.
