Japan women, Georgia men take team golds
RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Japan and Georgia claimed the team gold medals Sunday on the last day of the judo world championships.
Japan’s women defeated host nation Brazil 3-2 for the women’s gold. In the bronze medal bouts, Cuba defeated South Korea and France won over the Netherlands.
Georgia’s men defeated Russia for men’s the team title, also winning 3-2. Germany won one of the bronze medals, defeating Uzbekistan, and Japan took the other with a victory over South Korea.
