Prohibition Gastropub reopens on North Monroe Street with a new look
Prohibition Gastropub has reopened following a three-week closure for renovations.
Work includes new red and gray paint, new flooring, a new front door and an expanded kitchen with a new walk-in cooler.
Prohibition is owned by classically trained chef John David “J.D.” Leonetti and his wife, Jill Leonetti, and is known for its gourmet burgers as well as elevated pub fare. It opened about three years ago.
To start, consider brulee pork belly, baked brie with seasonal compote, stuffed button mushrooms, petite tenderloin bites and candy-coated bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers.
Look, also, for broasted chicken, cottage pie, blue cheese lasagna, and an array of burgers and hand-helds. Fries are hand-cut. And the secret ingredient to the big, juicy burgers: grounds from freshly brewed coffee.
Prohibition is at 1914 N. Monroe St. Call (509) 474-9040.
