BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Police in Louisiana says a man shot and killed a teen who was robbing him at gunpoint.

The Advocate cites a news release from Baton Rouge police spokesman Sgt. L'Jean McKneely Jr. that says 18-year-old Ke'irie Grayer was shot dead Saturday night. The release says Grayer had approached a 25-year-old man who was leaving a store and attempted to rob him.

Police ruled the fatal shooting justified after reviewing video footage. Evidence will be presented to the District Attorney's office for review, so the shooter could still be charged.

Further details have not been released.
