Ex-middle school teacher denies molesting 2nd student

November 28, 2018

QUINCY, Mass. (AP) — A former Massachusetts middle school teacher already charged with molesting one student is now facing allegations that he assaulted a second student.

Jeffrey Knight was released without bail after pleading not guilty Wednesday to five new charges of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. He pleaded not guilty charges involving the first student in September.

Prosecutors say the second alleged victim came forward after her mother saw news reports about the first case.

The 57-year-old Knight, of Pembroke, resigned as a Cohasset Middle School science teacher over the summer.

Prosecutors say the alleged inappropriate touching and rubbing occurred while class was in session.

Knight’s attorney, Eric Goldman, says his client maintains his innocence and there’s no physical evidence or witness corroboration in either case.
