CobbLinc to begin seven-days-a-week service July 1
CobbLinc transit service is set to begin Sunday service starting in July.
According to a news release from the county, the change will mark the first time buses have operated seven days a week in the agency’s 30-year existence.
The Cobb County Board of Commissioners approved Sunday service at its March 12 meeting along with several other changes to the service, including a new direct, limited-stop service between Kennesaw State University’s campuses in Kennesaw and Marietta; the establishment of an on-demand ride-sharing zone in south Cobb and revisions to the services provided by roughly a dozen bus routes.
The first three years of funding for the plan, about $1.7 million per year, will come from an Atlanta Regional Commission grant, the county said.
