Israel is holding national elections on Tuesday, April 9, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seeking a fourth consecutive term. Netanyahu’s Likud party is locked in a tight race with challenger Benny Gantz’s Blue and White party.

The Associated Press is offering comprehensive coverage, including live video and several glances. On election day, AP will file a NewsAlert when voting begins at 7 a.m. (0400 GMT), and provide updates throughout the day with candidates voting and turnout figures. AP will file another NewsAlert when polls close at 10 p.m. (1900 GMT) with preliminary exit poll results, followed by updates as official results come in. There will be video and photo coverage of candidates voting, and live coverage from the major parties’ headquarters when the polls close.
