Coy was a senior electrical installer for Sikorsky Aircraft, but he was most known for his dedication to the Quaker Farms Fire Company in Oxford, where he served as assistant fire chief from 2007 until his death. He was also very involved with the Oxford Ambulance Association.
“Among many things, he enjoyed landscaping, camping with his family, especially his two sons, and will be remembered for his generosity for helping others at any time and for any reason,” the obituary said.
Calling hours are on Nov. 29 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home at 161 West Church Street in Seymour. A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m. in Christ Church at 470 Quaker Farms Road in Oxford.
Coy was married to his wife, Larissa (Penchuk) Coy, for 16 years. He is survived by her, his parents Douglass and Dorthea Coy, his 13-year-old son Andrew and 10-year-old son Dayne, his two brother and his in-laws. He was predeceased by his brother, Gordon Coy.
