Brooklyn needs a big pal

January 16, 2019

Brooklyn is an 11-year-old girl who is always on the go. She likes to stay busy and hang out with her friends at the library. Brooklyn would enjoy cooking with her Big Pal and said she already knows how to make macaroni and cheese and Hamburger Helper. When she grows up, Brooklyn would like to be a teacher for little kids.

If you are a woman who enjoys cooking and trying new hobbies, being a Big Pal to a kid like Brooklyn will give you the chance to spend time doing your favorite activities while also making a difference. Volunteering as a mentor only takes a few hours of your time each week but it will change a Little Pal’s life forever.

To learn more about becoming a Big Pal, you are invited to stop by an informational event being held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Friedhof Building downtown. Check out Big Pals-Little Pals on Facebook for more information. You can also call 402-563-1081 to get started today.

Big Pals-Little Pals is a mentoring program that matches children with caring and inspiring adult mentors. Big Pals-Little Pals is a Columbus Area United Way Agency. For more information, please contact Andrea at 402-563-1081 or online at bigpals.org.
