Retired Cincinnati Post Assistant City Editor Dies
CINCINNATI (AP) _ Edwin T. ″Eddie″ Halloran, who spent 49 years working for The Cincinnati Post, died Monday. He was 75.
Halloran began his journalism career as a newsboy. A friend recalled a hot, muggy day on which Halloran hawked his papers by shouting to passers-by, ″Couple killed in cold blood on a hot day.″
He was hired by the paper as a copyboy in 1929, and was an assistant city editor when he retired in 1978.
