Nashoba Tech Claims State Vocational Football Crown
WESTFORD -- The Nashoba Tech football team captured the State Vocational Small School championship on Saturday with a convincing 34-13 victory over Upper Cape Tech.
Nashoba put up 21 points in the first quarter to turn the game into a runaway. Jose Soba was the star of the show, rushing for 141 yards and two touchdowns and passing for 186 yards and two more scores.
Soba scored on runs of 24 yards and 55 yards, and threw two first-quarter touchdown passes of 75 yards to Tyler Alden and 47 yards to Randy Delva.
Luke McKenna scored the last NT touchdown.
Nashoba Tech takes a 7-4 record into Wednesday night’s Thanksgiving game at Monty Tech.
Soba was 8-for-15 passing and carried the ball 19 times. McKenna gained 78 yards on the ground on 13 carries. Receiving-wise, Alden was the main target as he caught 6 passes good for 122 yards.
