Joann Provost Senesac, 87, of Manteno, passed away Tuesday (Sept. 11, 2018) at Presence St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee.
She was born Nov. 14, 1930, in St. Anne, the daughter of Walter and Isabelle Trudeau Dionne.
Joann married Norman Provost in December 1956. He preceded her in death in March 1987. She married William Senesac on Aug. 24, 1991. He preceded her in death June 28, 2003.
She had been a homemaker and helped run the family farm. She loved her dogs and animals. Joann was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manteno, where she sang in the church choir.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kevin Provost, of Manteno, and Daryl and Sheri Provost, of Manteno; one daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Harold Mays, of Buckeye, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Michael Clayton, Kayla Kempen, Kristi Ford, Brandon Provost and Matt Provost; two great-grandchildren, Ella Kempen and Natalie Ford; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marie Reneau, of Manteno, and Joyce and Wayne Miller, of Zephyrhills, Fla.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Leonard, Alfred and Donald.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be from 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, until the 4 p.m. memorial service at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Manteno. The Rev. Al Heidecke will officiate the service. Inurnment will be in Maternity BVM Cemetery in Bourbonnais.
