More soggy, snowy weather for Rockies
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — More soggy, snowy weather is hitting parts of the Rocky Mountain region.
The National Weather Service has issued flood watches and warnings for much of eastern Wyoming and parts of Montana where streams have risen due to rainy weather. Many streams already are running high with spring snowmelt.
Severe thunderstorms pummeled many areas with rain and hail Monday.
Forecasters predict not so many thunderstorms Tuesday but more heavy rain. They urge drivers to be extra careful where water covers roads.
Wintry weather continues at high elevations in much of Wyoming and southern Montana. The Weather Service says some areas above 8,000 feet (2,400 meters) could get a foot (30 centimeters) or more of snow.
Forecasters expect warmer, drier weather starting Wednesday.
