Italian News Agency ANSA Names New CEO
ROME (AP) _ ANSA, Italy’s largest news agency, named former Internet executive Mario Rosso as its new CEO, the company said Thursday.
Rosso, 55, succeeds Giuseppe Cerbone at the Agenzia Nazionale Stampa Associata, or ANSA.
Rosso has been general manager of Tiscali, Italy’s largest Internet provider. From 1999-2001, he directed human resources at Telecom Italia, the country’s largest telecommunications company.
Cerbone recently left ANSA to become general manager at the Milan-based financial daily Il Sole 24 Ore.
ANSA, founded in 1945, has 21 domestic bureaus and 90 foreign bureaus in 77 countries.
