Police called to fatal crash in St. John, find bullet holes
ST. JOHN, Mo. (AP) — Police are investigating a car crash death in a St. Louis suburb as a homicide.
St. Louis County Police say officers responded Friday night to a crash in St. John and found a vehicle had left the road and hit a pole. A woman was pronounced dead at the crash.
Officers then noticed bullet holes on the side of the woman’s vehicle. Investigators say the woman apparently was driving on St. Charles Rock Road when someone in another vehicle shot at her.
Authorities say it’s not clear if the woman died of gunshots or the crash.
The woman hasn’t been identified.
