DeKalb Education Foundation announces new board member

DeKALB – The DeKalb Education Foundation has added Rachel Xidis, of DeKalb, to its board of directors, according to a news release.

Xidis is a lifelong DeKalb resident who graduated from Northern Illinois University with an education degree in instructional technology, according to the release. She is the Associate Director of Web and Internal Communications in the Division of Enrollment Management, Marketing, and Communications at NIU.

Xidis was elected to the board Feb. 14, according to the release.

In addition to Xidis’ professional work, she is also the president of the Ellwood House Museum’s board of directors, and is involved in the DeKalb High School’s theatre department.

The DeKalb Education Foundation is a non-profit organization working to enhance and enrich educational programs for all students in the DeKalb School District 428.
