Queen Meets With Korea Veterans
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) _ Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II marked the end of her four-day visit to South Korea by meeting with Korean War veterans.
The queen, who celebrated her 73rd birthday in the Korean village of Hahoe on Wednesday, met with veterans from Britain, Australia, Canada and New Zealand before leaving Thursday. The veterans were staying in South Korea as part of an annual reunion.
Earlier in the day, the queen presented scholarships to two Korean students and visited an Anglican church that was founded by an Englishman in 1890.
The queen also visited businesses to encourage investment in Britain.
