Norfolk Catholic partaking in National Catholic Schools Week

January 30, 2019

NORFOLK - Catholic Schools Week kicked off Monday and Norfolk Catholic started out with an assembly and school wide service project.

High School Principal Amy Wattier says the theme this year is learn, serve, lead, succeed.

“The whole Catholic Schools Week we have something that we get to offer at a catholic school that’s a little bit different, has the activities, and gets to tie in our faith in different ways all year long. We compound all of that this week and do a lot of activities learning about how we can be different at a catholic school and find opportunities to serve.”

Principal of the elementary, Bill LaFleur says Wednesday the seventh graders will have a service day at the Norfolk Rescue Mission.

Wattier says on Thursday the kids will hear from guest speaker Jim Keiter who is an Associate Pastor at Bergan Catholic Schools in Omaha.

She say the week will end on Friday with lunch, activities, music, and then an all school mass.
