Norfolk woman arrested on drug charges

December 20, 2018

A report of a disturbance Tuesday evening resulted in the arrest of a Norfolk woman for possession of illegal drugs.

Capt. Mike Bauer with the Norfolk Police Division said officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Skyline Drive at 8:12 p.m.

When officers arrived, they had contact with a female outside of the residence who said there was a verbal argument involving three individuals.

Officers accompanied the female inside the house and had contact with Ashley R. Jessen, 32.

An officer and a resident of the home went into a room where Jessen had been sleeping.

A glass pipe with residue that tested positive for methamphetamine was discovered in the room, Bauer said.

Jessen was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

In a further search of the room, officers recovered a jar with 17 Tramadol prescription pills. Jessen did not have a prescription for these pills.

Jessen was then arrested on a second count of possession of Tramadol. She was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
