Police respond to report of stabbing at Boston courthouse
BOSTON (AP) — Authorities say one man was taken to the hospital after getting stabbed inside a Boston courthouse.
Police say the stabbing in Suffolk Superior Court just before noon on Wednesday started with an altercation inside an elevator and spilled onto the second floor, where there is a cafeteria and a jury room.
State police say a male victim was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening. His name wasn’t released.
The second floor was shut down for the investigation.
The suspect or suspects fled and there have been no arrests.
The investigation includes how a weapon made its way past security, including metal detectors.
According to television reports, a man seen being placed in an ambulance was conscious.
