Longmont SWAT Officers Make Warrant Arrest on Renaissance Drive Tuesday Morning

November 20, 2018

Longmont SWAT officers responded to Renaissance Drive around 9 a.m. Tuesday to make a warrant arrest of a suspect who they believed could be armed with a handgun.

Officers located the suspect, wanted for domestic violence charges, at his home in the 1400 block of Renaissance Drive, according to Cmdr. Joel Post. Police followed him as he drove away from the home, and contacted him a few blocks away.

Cody Roberts, 21, was arrested without incident, Post said. He faces charges of stalking, felony menacing, unlawful sexual contact and domestic violence.

While Post said Roberts often carries a handgun, he didn’t know if officers found a firearm during the arrest.
