CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — No. 5 Duke meets 12th-ranked Florida State tonight in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game. The Blue Devils advanced by holding off third-ranked North Carolina last night 74-73, while the Seminoles knocked off second-ranked Virginia 69-59. In other conference championship games involving ranked teams, No. 17 Kansas faces Iowa State, No. 18 Buffalo plays Bowling Green and No. 25 Villanova takes on Seton Hall.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Andrew Nembhard likely shot Florida off the bubble and into the NCAA Tournament. His long 3-pointer with a second to go pushed the Gators past top-seeded LSU 76-73 in the SEC quarterfinals. The win gave the Gators a marquee March victory that should separate it from the likes of N.C. State, Indiana, Texas and others sweating out Selection Sunday.

MIAMI (AP) — The Milwaukee Bucks are the first team in NBA history to trail by at least 20 points at the half and win by more than 11. They accomplished the feat last night by rallying from a 20-point halftime deficit to beat the Miami Heat 113-98. Giannis Antetokounmpo (YAH’-nihs an-teh-toh-KOON’-poh) scored 33 points and had 16 rebounds and nine assists for the Bucks.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood share the lead heading into the third round of The Players Championship. McIllroy finished eagle-birdie-par down the famed closing stretch at the TPC Sawgrass yesterday for a 7-under 65, while Fleetwood rode a birdie-eagle-birdie start to a 67. Tiger Woods was nine back after hitting two balls into the water on the island green 17th.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs say they are investigating a domestic battery report involving star receiver Tyreek Hill. The team said in a statement to The Associated Press that it was aware of a police report filed Thursday by the Overland Park Police Department that lists Hill’s address and identifies a juvenile as the victim. Hill’s fiancee, Crystal Espinal, is identified among “others involved.” They have a 3-year-old son.
