Back Mountain Chamber Launches Spring Food Drive

The Back Mountain Chamber, with support from its members, local merchants, area schools, banks, and others, is launching its annual spring food drive, which will benefit the Back Mountain Food Pantry. The three-week-long community-wide food drive begins Saturday, March 23. The committee expanded the collection locations this year and containers are currently being placed throughout the Back Mountain. All food and monetary donations will be donated to the Back Mountain Food Pantry, which benefits families in the Dallas and Lake-Lehman School Districts. This is the fifth year of the chamber’s spring food drive. Community support is encouraged. All non-perishable items will be accepted. Monetary donations can be made payable to the Back Mountain Food Pantry and mailed directly to the Back Mountain Chamber at 1192 Twin Stacks Drive, Dallas, PA 18612. This year’s food drive will run from March 23 to April 12. Collection containers will be placed at the following locations: A’s Cutting Crew, Back Mountain Chamber office, Back Mountain Memorial Library, Berkshire Hathaway Realtors, Bernie’s Pizza, Chris’s Auto Repair, Community Bank, Dallas School District schools (four schools), Dallas Township, Damien’s on the Lake, Ecenrode Electric, Experience Fitness, Family Hearing Center, First Keystone Community Bank (Dallas, Hanover, Kingston, Mountain Top and Plymouth); FNCB, Frontier, Hilbert’s Equipment and Welding Inc., Hillside Farms Dairy Store, Ideaworks Marketing, I’m Big Now Preschool / Kindergarten, J & J Deli, Jack Williams Tire, Komensky’s Kielbasi, Lake-Lehman School District Schools (four schools), Luzerne Bank, Melt (Kingston); Michael Eckman Fitness, Misericordia University, NAPA Dallas Auto Parts, NBT Bank, Penn State Wilkes-Barre, Pulverman, state Rep. Karen Boback’s office, state Sen.
