Bengals’ Steve Foley Arrested
MONROE, La. (AP) _ Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Steve Foley was arrested for the fourth time in a year, accused of firing a handgun into the air outside a nightclub.
Foley was released on $700 bond after being booked Thursday with disturbing the peace by being drunk and disorderly, a misdemeanor.
Police said they were summoned to the Tonk 2000 Club early Thursday after receiving complaints that a man was walking through the parking lot and firing a gun. According to a police report, Foley was intoxicated and screamed at passing cars that he was being illegally searched by police.
In February, Foley was booked with domestic violence after he reportedly kicked in the apartment door of his son’s mother and grabbed her by the throat. He has denied the allegation, saying he simply came to the apartment to pick up his child to go out for a meal.
In April 1999, Foley was arrested on a warrant accusing him of failing to appear in court on a nonsupport charge. After he was freed on $2,000 bond, he was arrested the next day and booked by state police for driving while intoxicated.
