Triumph Group: Fiscal 2Q Earnings Snapshot

BERWYN, Pa. (AP) _ Triumph Group Inc. (TGI) on Thursday reported a loss of $14.7 million in its fiscal second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Berwyn, Pennsylvania-based company said it had a loss of 30 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and restructuring costs, were 40 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 39 cents per share.

The aircraft supplier posted revenue of $855.1 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $791.3 million.

Triumph Group expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.50 to $2.10 per share.

Triumph Group shares have dropped 21 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped 32 percent in the last 12 months.
