Huntington St. Joe beat Boyd County 3-0
CANNONSBURG, Ky. — Abi Hugh scored one goal and assisted on another to help Huntington St. Joe (14-2) to a 3-0 victory over Boyd County Monday night in girls high school soccer.
Abby Lee scored the winning goal off an assist from McKenzie Moran in the 20th minute. Laney Whitmore made it 2-0 off a pass from Hugh with mere seconds left before halftime.
Hugh scored off a Mina Smith assist eight minutes into the second half. Samantha Richbart was credited with the shutout in goal for the Irish, who return to action at 6 p.m. Thursday vs. Midland Trail at the Shawnee Sports Complex in Dunbar, West Virginia. Gracie Opell made 10 saves for the Lions.
