OREGON RECYCLING

BEND, Ore. _ The Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative, which oversees the state’s bottle deposit program, says about 90 percent of the containers covered by the plan were returned and redeemed in 2018. OREGON-EDUCATION LAWSUIT

EUGENE, Ore. _ Disability Rights Oregon and four other groups filed a class-action lawsuit Tuesday against the state of Oregon in U.S. District Court saying the state denies hundreds of children with disabilities the right to attend a full day of school. SENT: 547 words.

WOLF DETERRENT-INFLATABLE DANCING MAN

MEDFORD, Ore. _ A rancher in Jackson County who has had gray wolves eat his livestock is now using a lime-green inflatable dancing man to keep the predators at bay. The device is the same as those commonly seen a used car lots and is powered by a generator that blows air into the balloon so it jumps and wiggles in the air. SENT: 673 words.
