Greenup library to host Family History Class

GREENUP — The Greenup County Public Library will host a Family History Class on Tuesday, Sept. 11, from 10 to 11 a.m., at 508 Main St., Greenup, Kentucky. The class will be using software from FamilySearch.org. FamilySearch, the largest genealogy organization in the world. The software is a nonprofit family history organization dedicated to connecting families across generations. FamilySearch believes that families bring joy and meaning to life. FamilySearch.org has the world’s largest collection of family history and genealogy resources from over 100 countries.

The Family History Class will be taught by Brent and Debbie Nelson, who are experienced in using software by FamilySearch.org. This class is an opportunity for community members to learn family history and genealogy search techniques and build their own family trees. Subsequent to the class you may sign up for individual one-on-one consultation. There is no charge for the class, software, or consultation.
