CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) _ Ben Anderson completed 13 of 21 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns as the Liberty Flames cruised past the Charleston Southern Buccaneers 48-14 Saturday afternoon.

Liberty scored touchdowns on four of their first six possessions. Stacey Nobles scored the first two touchdowns on a 13-yard run and a 1-yard plunge.

Charleston Southern played without its regular quarterback Andy Tarr, who missed the game with a sore hip.

The Bucs got on the scoreboard in the third quarter with an 31-yard touchdown by running back Thomas Williams. Charleston Southern scored again late in the game as Ruben Potts found Ande Goldsmith for a 55-yard touchdown pass.

Potts completed eight of 13 passes for 148 yards and one touchdown during the game.

Liberty advances to 6-1 on the season, while Charleston Southern falls to 1-6.
