Orchids and Onions: Friday, November 9, 2018

November 9, 2018

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Onions to assisted living home. No problem collecting thousands of dollars each month, but when someone passes away, not one phone call, card or any acknowledgement. Not only is it completely unprofessional, it is very hurtful and cruel to the family.

Orchids to John and Karolee at USA RV and Marine service department for the excellent work on my Boston Whaler. It was done fast and to my specifications. Thank you.

Orchids to Havasu Tiny Mites! They are going to the Superbowl! Thanks to their hard work and volunteer coaches! Come support them Saturday Nov. 10th at 8am at the High School Field. You will not be disappointed!

Onions to the idiot that damaged my late husband’s pride and joy 25-year-old truck. Grow-up.

Orchids to those poor lads and lassies who must have suffered a miserable summer in northern climes to spew their vitriolic onions so abundantly; welcome back, anyway. Smile, we love you.

Orchids to Rebel BBQ. You went all out in serving the Lunar-Tics 6th Annual dinner meeting on Halloween evening. Thanks! Next year? Jack and Marlene

Orchids to Corrie Carver at Quail Ridge Dental for the extra time she spent with me during my long overdue cleaning. The entire office is wonderful.

Onions to the powers that be for wanting to put a hotel between Body Beach and Rotary Park. Why not expand Rotary Park that gets used by all citizens rather than a few! It seems all the city planners can see are nothing but, dollar signs!

Orchids to Dr. Wrona for taking such good care of my wife and me over the years. We learned recently he is retiring. Thanks Doc for everything and we hope you have a wonderful retirement. Steve and Danette Salisbury.

Orchids to our retired mail lady, Cheryl. It was so nice getting our mail in a timely manner. Now it’s as late as 8 p.m. everyone on Avocado Ln misses you!

Onions to the lady walking her 2 dogs in the street on Kiowa S. at night. I came real close to running you over. Use some common sense.

Orchids to the Lake Havasu Republican Women who generously collected 139 pounds of nonperishable food items, plus cash donations, for the Havasu Community Health Foundation Food Bank.
