DES MOINES, Iowa _ The Iowa Attorney General’s Office is suing to shut down what it describes as a national puppy-laundering ring that sells dogs from illegal breeding operations at inflated prices while pretending the animals are rescues. SENT:
The Iowa attorney general’s office says in a lawsuit that Iowa is home to a national “puppy laundering” ring that masquerades puppy-mill puppies as rescue animals and selling them for as much as $3,600 each. UPCOMING: 300 words.
