NORTH STONINGTON, Conn. (AP) — A woman has died in a head-on collision in southeastern Connecticut.

Police say 61-year-old Candace Jane Porter was driving on Cossaduck Hill Road in North Stonington Friday night when she hit a car coming in the opposite direction.

Authorities say the road was unlit when the two cars crashed.

Porter was declared dead at the scene, while the passenger and driver of the second car sustained minor injuries. One was taken to William W. Backus Hospital.

State and local police are currently investigation the crash.
