3 Mohave County Jail inmates face charges in connection with April drug overdoses
Three inmates in the Mohave County Jail are facing more charges after authorities said they were part of an effort to smuggle heroin and methamphetamine that resulted in several overdoses in one incident in April.
Five county inmates were treated for drug overdoses April 16 after they overdosed on hydrocodone pills laced with Fentanyl.
Investigators say that inmate Jonathan Hutchinson, 24, of Parker, smuggled 30 counterfeit Hydrocodone pills into the County Jail, as well as an unknown quantity of methamphetamine. After the five inmates allegedly overdosed, jail staff searched the inmates’ housing unit.
