Shelton PD investigates Wheels burglary

May 7, 2019

SHELTON — Police are looking for a man who used a van to pull an ATM from an Old Stratford Road convenience store.

Police said the incident occurred at the Wheels Convenience store around 3 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the man pulled the van in front of the store. Police said the man pried open the store’s door and placed straps around the ATM, pulling the machine out with the van.

The van is unique, according to Shelton Police Detective Richard Bango, because it has a roof rack and running boards.

If anyone recognizes the van, contact Bango at 203-924 1544, ext. 4442, or rbango@sheltonpolice.net.
