Two injured in Red Wing collision

The driver and passenger in a Chevy Monte Carlo heading east on U.S. Highway 61 at Spring Creek Road in Red Wing were taken to the hospital Friday night.

The driver, 52-year-old Christopher Wade Gerlach of Morgan, and his passenger, 31-year-old Quira Lynea Rollins of St. Paul, were both treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.

The car driven by Gerlach was reportedly read-ended by a Ford Edge driven by 36-year-old Michael Harvey Goering of Red Wing, at 8:40 p.m. Friday. Georing was not injured.

Red Wing Ambulance, Red Wing Police Department and the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
