ATLANTA (AP) _ The Atlanta Braves and David Palmer have agreed to a contract that will pay the right-handed pitcher $725,000 in 1987.

Palmer, who had accepted arbitration, and the club each submitted the same contract proposal on Monday. Palmer, who won 11 games for Atlanta last season, is now considered a signed player.

Last season, Palmer made $335,000 in base salary, with $55,000 in incentive payoffs.

Palmer, 29, joined the Braves as a free agent in 1986 after seven seasons with the Montreal Expos.
