AKRON, Ohio — Two teens were robbed Sunday night after two armed males jumped into their vehicle near downtown, police say.

The teens, a 16-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy, were near the intersection of Kling and East South streets at 8 p.m. when the two suspects jumped in front of their car, according to police.

The two suspects got into the back of the car and pulled guns, demanding the teens’ cell phones. They also took cash from the car’s center console.

The males got out of the car and ran, and the teens drove away and called police. The teens were not injured.

Police say one of the male suspects was wearing a green hooded sweat shirt, green pants, and brown Timberland boots. The second suspect was wearing all black clothing.
