November 19, 2018

WASHINGTON, Nov. 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the addition of Senior Managing Director Steven S. McNew to the Information Governance, Privacy & Security practice within the firm’s Technology segment. Mr. McNew, an expert in information management, information privacy, complex discovery and computer forensics, will join the company’s Houston office to support the growth of current and new data governance solutions.

“Steve is joining our team amid increasing client demand for strategic guidance and proactive programs that mitigate corporate data risks and challenges,” said Jake Frazier, a Senior Managing Director and Leader of the Information Governance, Privacy & Security practice at FTI Consulting. “His expertise in leading large matters involving complex data analysis, digital forensics, data privacy and security, and electronic discovery, particularly in highly regulated industries, will bring significant value to our clients. We look forward to his contributions to our team.”

Over the course of his 31-year career, Mr. McNew has led thousands of engagements for law firms and corporations in highly regulated industries, including financial services, healthcare, energy, technology and telecommunications. He has served as a strategic advisor to help clients navigate information and data-related challenges arising from high-stakes litigation and investigations. Previously, Mr. McNew held leadership positions at several consulting firms, including Navigant Consulting and Huron Consulting. At FTI Consulting, Mr. McNew will provide clients with proactive advice and guidance on information privacy, complex data analysis, information lifecycle management and electronic discovery matters.

“As corporations grapple with vast volumes of data, emerging cloud applications and an increasingly stringent regulatory landscape, it has become difficult to implement and maintain proactive, holistic information governance,” Mr. McNew said. “Many organizations are unsure of where to begin, or simply do not have the internal resources to develop and execute effective programs. FTI Consulting’s deep bench of experts have developed solutions to address a wide range of data problems corporations may face, and I am honored to join such an esteemed group of colleagues.”
