Carol Braemer, 92, Horicon
Carol Virginia Braemer, 92, Horicon, formerly of Beaver Dam, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, at UW-Hospital in Madison.
Carol was born Dec. 20, 1926, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of LeRoy and Vesta (Livermore) Ehlenfeldt. A graduate of Beaver Dam High School, she enjoyed being a cheerleader and playing in the band. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Earl Braemer in Beaver Dam. Raising her family, attending all of their children’s events and going to the YMCA kept her busy in her earlier years, while keeping up with her grandchildren kept her young at heart. She enjoyed making cards on her computer, checking Facebook, playing bingo, fishing and volunteering. Traveling was a favorite pastime, especially when she was visiting family and friends.
Carol is survived by her children, Mike (Dixie) Braemer of Algoma, Cindy LaCasse of Colorado and Virginia “Ginny” (Larry) Fideler of Kewaskum; son-in-law, Gene Ousterling of San Jose, California; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Alice Ehlenfeldt of Beaver Dam and Adeline “Toody” Ehlenfeldt of Burnett; and further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy; daughter, Lee; three brothers; one sister and other relatives.
A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, March 2, from 1 until 3 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton, at a later date.
